Mountain Men

Each time I get a few days off I head out to explore. I have a growing list of the camper’s favorite places they have shared with me. One of the first trips was to West Glacier where I spent the night parked along Lake McDonald in order to be there bright and early. The freedom of leaving the trailer behind outweighed a comfortable nights sleep, considering I needed to be up at 4 a.m.

Coming to Montana

Farms and ranches lined the roads and highways hemmed in by mountain ranges with snowcapped peaks. The hay meadows alternate with green pastures where cattle or horses were grazing. I did not see the usual billboards or neon. No city lights off in the distance.

Four months before I bought my camper, I started selling my things. I sold my stuff on FB marketplace. It’s easy to access, easy to get notifications, and I could respond quickly. I could also check profiles of potential buyers for safety. I tried other platforms, like Thred-up, Poshmark, eBay, and Craigslist but there was no comparison
